NHS Practice

Bristol Eye Hospital is one of the largest eye hospitals in the UK. It has a good reputation for the quality of clinical work and research carried on within its walls. The hospital currently has fifteen consultants including Professor Andrew Dick and two Senior Lecturers. The consultant staff is supported by an excellent team of ophthalmologists, including trainees. The Bristol Eye Hospital is the hub for the northern training rotation within the South West of England. The Bristol Eye Hospital provides comprehensive cover for the range of subspecialties within ophthalmology.

Within the Bristol Eye Hospital I run two clinics in general ophthalmology (which includes glaucoma) and one subspecialist clinic which covers cornea/anterior segment. I have two theatre sessions, the first is a high volume cataract list and the second session is a list devoted to corneal surgery including transplantation. I undertake an additional general ophthalmology clinic in the Weston General Hospital, Weston super Mare.
